David McGrory (u/s Rachmanioff) Belfast born pianist David McGrory began his studies at the age of four. During his career he has performed in London, Belfast, Edinburgh, Dublin, Munich, Brussels, Galway, Glasgow, Oxford, Leeds, San Antonio and Boston. Chamber concerts have included working with the organist Brian Jones and performances with clarinetist Jeri Sykes at the Berklee College of Music. As a composer, his works have focused on solo piano and small chamber drawing on the influences of Hindemith, Britten, Ravel and the Celtic diaspora. 2012 saw the release of his debut CD, Beethoven & Bizet: Variations. His second CD, released in the fall of 2018, is a collection of works dedicated to those who gave their lives in World War I entitled Ravel, Debussy, Bridge: Remember the fallen. Currently, David is an Assistant Professor at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, and lives in Medfield with his wife, Laurie, and their twin daughters.
