John Weidman (Book) – John Weidman wrote the book for Pacific Overtures, and Assassins, He co-authored the new book for Lincoln Center Theater’s revival of Cole Porter’s Anything Goes. With director/choreographer Susan Stroman, he co-created the musical Contact. Since 1986, he has written for Sesame Street, receiving eleven Emmy Awards for Outstanding Writing for a Children’s Program, Weidman is president of the Dramatists’ Guild of America. He is a graduate of Yale Law School and lives in New York City.
