Lyric First Stage is our summer program for young artists designed to create an environment where, with professional mentors, a company of enthusiastic teens can explore ideas through text, music and movement, and refine their confidence and artistry in a series of workshops and a repertory theatre production experience.

You’re invited to take your musical theatre skills to the next level this summer with Lyric First Stage’s Summer 2016 Intensive. During this two-week program, a small group of passionate young artists will work directly with Boston theatre professionals on a select number of scenes and songs chosen from great American musicals.
Work through every note with Music Director Jonathan Goldberg (Sweeney Todd, Sondheim on Sondheim) and explore your performance choices with Leigh Barrett (City of Angels, Sondheim on Sondheim).
Work with guest artists receiving one-on-one instruction, culminating in a cabaret performance on the Lyric’s stage.
Finally, you’ll have the opportunity to perform live at the Lyric Stage’s 25th Anniversary Celebration of our theatre in Back Bay!
